Hi, my name is Chris Noble. I'm an independent IT consultant, and I'm here to tell you how to set up satellite internet. The things you'll need to complete this are a satellite dish, a modem, a coaxial cable, an Ethernet cable, and any software that your satellite company provided. The first step is to find the dual coaxial cables that are coming from the satellite dish and run them to where your computer is located. The second step is to install the modem that your satellite connection uses. Now, typically it's a standalone unit, but it could be a card that you have to install inside your computer. Step three is to plug the coaxial cables into the "sat in" and "sat out" ports on your modem. If your cables aren't labeled "satellite in" and "satellite out," you'll have to trace them back to the dish and find out which one should go into which port. The next step is to plug in the Ethernet cable from the satellite modem into your computer. If your satellite modem is an internal card, you need to skip this step. The last step is to install the software that your satellite provider gave you and check that you have a good working internet connection. My name's Chris Noble, and that's how to connect to satellite internet.
