Everybody, Dave Sullivan here for The Credit Guy TV. You know, I've done some videos in the past about the IRS. Now we're moving a tax lien off your credit report, even prior to you paying it in full. I had a few questions come back about the form that's required to go along with the government form to make this request. That form is a 668 Y form. You should have gotten that from the IRS. Attach that with the other required form and mail it in. If you'd like to have me walk you through the process, click on this video right here. But there were some questions: where do I get the form if I don't have it? So, what I did was I went down to the local IRS office here in Detroit, and a customer service individual sat down with me. I asked him a few questions about the process, and he said that if you don't have your 668 Y form, they can produce another one. So, what I would recommend is you go down to the office, and they'll print it. Now, if it's an older IRS tax lien, you might have to go to court to get that form. But what he said, the best thing to do is come down to the IRS office. If they can produce it, they will. If they can't, they will direct you to the proper court where you can then go get a copy of it. Alright, so if you don't have the 668 Y form, go down to the local IRS office. They can produce another copy or send you over to court where it was filed, and then you can give them another copy there depending on how old it is. Alright, so...
